From 2001 to 2002, ABNA worked on a
general services contract providing construction management services as a subconsultant to KWAME Building Group. On this project ABNA performed
sewer inspections and tests including negative air pressure, low pressure,
mandrel test, and visual manhole inspections at various locations.

ABNA provided construction-staking
services for the $13 Million Glycol Deicing Runoff Collection project at
Lambert International Airport. Project involved in layout of 4 miles of
Glycol force main, 6 Pump stations, 6 Valve Vaults, 9 Junction Chambers, a
150ft diameter Detention Tank. Involved various field changes to match
field conditions. Work was also performed at night between 11:00PM and
6:00AM.

Survey Manager for construction
layout and control verification on a $4 million dollar parking garage,
with library and bookstore included in lower level retail space. Project
also involved the layout of 40 Caissons (foundation piling) with an
average diameter of 48 inches and depths of 50 feet.

ABNA is
conducting construction observation and quality control services for 8.5
acres of site grading (including 3 acres of ball fields), 1200 ft of storm
sewers, 820 ft of sanitary sewer, building demolition, and hazardous waste
monitoring. Duties include soil testing, storm & sanitary pipe
installation inspection, settlement gauge monitoring, field documentation,
and demolition inspection.
Once completed, the school district
will have a new 182,700 square foot building that will accommodate around
800 students. The two-story facility provides two wings of classrooms on
each floor and a public wing that houses an indoor swimming pool, a
900-seat gymnasium, and a 500-seat auditorium.

ABNA
is providing professional services to the contractor completing one of the
general grading contracts associated with the expansion of St. Louis
Lambert International Airport. ABNA’s responsibilities include
construction staking, materials testing, and geotechnical services.
ABNA’s Director of Surveying is supervising the
elements requiring construction
staking include volume control surveys, roadways, storm ditches, sediment
basins, storm sewers, retaining walls, modular block walls, and site
grading. Abe Adewale is the overall project manager and supervises
personnel providing materials testing and geotechnical services.

The program manager hired ABNA to
establish the coordinate position of “second-order” monumentation markers
set by the contractor. Ten (10) 1st order monuments were used to set
approximately 190 2nd order monuments 500’ apart along the 18-mile
alignment. Because the monument markers were set by the contractor, we
were required to work on call and keep pace with the schedule of the
contractor.

ABNA provided as-built surveys and
construction inspection services for this project. As a member of the
construction management team, ABNA surveyed all pavements including
taxiway, apron, and access roads to ensure compliance with contract plans
and specifications. ABNA also provided personnel for inspection and
materials testing of nighttime construction operations.
