University City Schools 1999 Paving Program
Client: U. City School District
Owner: U. City School District
Completion Date: Sep 1999
Const. Value: $350,000
This project involved preparation of
contract plans and specifications for eight (8) elementary school asphalt
parking lots and playgrounds within the district.
ABNA also provided full construction
management services including materials testing for the project.
This was a fast track project for ABNA as the design, bidding, and
construction all had to be completed within a nine-week period.
Existing parking lots were removed,
regraded and resurfaced. New parking lots were designed and constructed to
support the districts maintenance truck fleet. Drainage design and other
utility adjustments were also incorporated in the plans. The design
utilized the recycling of the asphalt pavement as fill material in areas
where the existing subgrade was unstable.
